New Beaded Ornament Pattern!

You will love this new ornament pattern. Shown here in Colorado Topaz. This ornament can be ordered by going to ORNAMENT BOOKS - 2010 Ornament Patterns located under Categories on the left hand side of this screen.
DON'T FORGET ABOUT OUR GREAT MAGNETIC END CAPS!
We now carry magnetic end caps in 3 different styles: Deco, Bamboo and Keg.
Three different finishes: 14Kt gold, black onyx, and rhodium (a non-tarnish sterling). And 5 different sizes: 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, and 15mm.
These end caps are top of the line in many ways. First, they are all heavily plated for that high quality look. Second, the magnets are actually bolted into the end cap. You can see it when you look inside the end.
Did you know that the reason most magnetic end caps fail is not the magnet, but the glue. The stress placed on the glue over time is more than it can deal with and eventually it lets go. How many times have you looked down only to notice that your favorite bracelet was gone? Not with these! This magnet is here to stay.
No more fussing with tricky lobster clasps! The Deco and Bamboo styles open down the center line. But the keg shape opens at the double line on one side with a cleverly nested piece for extra protection. Each has a very strong magnet, capable of standing up to the most demanding situations.
These end caps are the best!
Not just for braiders! Bead crocheter's and Viking knitters are gonna flip over these.
To get to them choose, End Caps>Magnetic under Categories on the left side of the screen.
Just arrived! Kegs now come with an "O" ring for hanging pendants or charms!
This is a strong little ring! We attached a 1 kilo weight (2.2 lbs) to this ring and swung it around. It held like a champ! Now, most charms and beads weigh only a few grams, but it is nice to know that this ring can take a mighty tug and still hold fast.
We have sold out twice before we even got a chance to promote them, so don't delay. Order yours today! And tell a friend!
What is Kumihimo To Go? Kumihimo To Go is an inexpensive introduction to japanese braiding. The kit includes everything you need to make your first necklace. A kumihimo disc, bobbins, cord, end caps and clasp....and those all important instructions in English!. This is braiding by the numbers. Step by step photographs teach you the simple moves that create a uniform round braid. And best of all, you can take it anywhere!
On a plane, at the office, in a car, on the phone, while you wait, watching television. Anywhere!
The disc is light and the patterns are repetitive so they are easy to remember.
Kumihimo To Go
is an easy way to show off focal beads. Rather than stress over the
many stringing components needed to show off that special bead, try
making a perfectly color coordinated cord using inexpensive fibers. But
don't limit yourself to yarns, make a leather bracelet for a man using
strips of suede. How about custom tie-backs for curtains or shade
pulls? Handles for purses or bags? Headbands? Edging for quilts and
clothing? Embellishment for stamped cards and hand crafted books?
The disc and bobbins are reusable tool that you can make an unlimited number of items.
Radically different looks can be had just by changing the type of cord
used. Try chenille yarn or embroidery floss. Check out the Kumihimo Gallery to
see what is possible using the Kumihimo to Go kit. There are additional
instructions available for other braid shapes and patterns.
Traditionally Kumihimo braids were made using a marudai which is a
wooden stool with a hole in the center. Today's marudais are generally
crafted in beautiful woods and can be very expensive. The bobbins, also
made out of wood, are filled with lead to very exact weights...and
again, very expensive. A marudai and 8 bobbins might run as high as
$250.00. Yikes! And while they are beautiful, they are also big and
heavy. Certainly not something you can take on a plane or tuck in a
purse. That
is why Kumihimo To Go is so great! You have the joy of making something
truly beautiful without breaking the bank or your back!
Happy Braiding!
